This melodic rock band from Brisbane began in the form of a simple promotional gig for Ellaways music back in 2009 consisting of Marcus Parente, Nathan Filmer and Jesse Austin. The three piece realized they offered a quality act and recruited Calvin Chandra (a good friend of the band) to play guitar. After months of jamming and rehearsing, they decided that although they presented a very good instrumental package, they knew they could still deliver more. So after realising they lacked any options, the band set out to find the best possible vocalist for the job; someone who understood their style, and could lead the band forward in a stronger direction. After considering a countless number of candidates, finally on the fourth of February 2011, Anthony Luk stepped forward and became lead vocalist. Currently Atlas are looking to extend their passion for music within the local Brisbane music scene, recording tracks and playing the music that they love.

Indie/Pop quartet, Atlas, bring their sweet uplifting melancholy to audiences around Melbourne. Emily Burton’s heartbreaking voice delivers Ben Howlett’s subtle and precise songwriting, drenched in harmony, sadness and the soulful playing of Marlee J. Dalton and Nathan Mackinnon. This understated group delves into the deepest of Australian songwriting tradition, playing your heartstrings like an orchestra.
Having formed 3 years ago from a casual busking background and based in Brisbane, Australia, Atlas is comprised of three members: Charlie Yeates (Lead Vocals), Daniel Tucker (Backing Vocals and Guitar) and Scott McKinnon (Backing Vocals, Guitar and Percussion). Writing numerous original pieces and covers, we love creating easy listening acoustic music for people to enjoy at functions, parties and out in the streets busking.
