Edit history

After forming in late 2006, The Atvena's Wake lineup finally became complete with the addition of Alex Reid on drums, July 2008. With many songs in hand, September saw the band take charge at the studio (with the clever Aidan at Sovereign of IKTPQ, Pathogen and Miles Away fame) to begin their debut professional release "Hermetica", now completed. After a number of solid international and national supports (Soilwork, Pathogen, The Amity Affliction, Confession, Carpathian and others) the band has a busy touring schedule planned for 2009 – including their own EP launch shows at Amplifier (18+) April 3rd and HQ April 5th (all ages). With the average age of band members being between 18 and 19 and a solid lineup this Hermetica will uncover “Atvenas” as one of Perth’s best-kept secrets, with melodies and musicianship far beyond their years, and grooves likely to infect any listener.
