Au Lait is a brand new funk/R&B duo from Brisbane, Australia. Their first single ‘While I’m Awake’ is a Zapp-esque banger drawing influences from everything from 80s hip hop to Soviet rare groove. The husband and wife duo consists of vocalist Shoshanna Berry-Porter and hip hop producer Padraig Parkhurst aka Anarchosophist. Shoshanna was singing before she could talk, and hasn’t stopped since, studying jazz voice at Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Anarchosophist has two albums out of dense instrumental music ranging from darkest end of electronica to upbeat funk. Together they make punchy and soulful tracks sure to move your hips.
