Aurora is a new 3-piece band formed in late 2014. Aurora is the Roman ‘Goddess of Dawn’, which is associated with new beginnings. The moniker was apt being that the band members have been around in various outfits, and the recent collaboration is a fresh new beginning for these guys. Hi! I'm seventeen years old and have grown up in the small town of Gladstone, living here my whole life. I am currently in grade 12, just dancing my way through my last year of school completely unsure of what I want to do once I graduate. I have been singing since the day my mum decided I talked too much at just five years old, being taken to singing lessons. My life is music and what an opportunity this is. I had to take it.
Since jamming in 2011 Marcus and James had begun to form the foundations for the band and not soon later Jessamy came on board to introduce ethereal keyboard lines and vocals inspired by the the likes of Beth Gibbons and Regina Spektor. Jameson was later to join to fill in the crucial roll of bass guitar. In the midst is the production of an EP and in the future a full album.

We are releasing our new tracks and you can have our new songs for free, via bandcamp, or if you email us, we can send them to you directly. We request no payment, only a pledge. The Pledge: To walk slower next time you are near a busker, have a listen to the skill and passion they play with and throw a few coins their way. To say yes to an invite to a friends, cousins, brothers’ bands first gig. To stop in at the next pub you pass, where the doors are open and the live music is spilling invitingly onto the street. To pick up the dusty guitar in the corner and belt out some old favourites. To spend a moment after you have just seen some amazing unknown, local band, to wander up and say thanks for the great tunes and good times. To forward a link to your friends, cousins, brothers’ first homemade film clip. To
