Hailing from Newcastle, NSW, Austin Mackay is quickly emerging as one of Australia’s most exciting voices in the country/folk scene. Blending heartfelt storytelling with the grit of modern rock, his sound draws from artists like Chris Stapleton, John Mayer and Gregory Alan Isakov — raw, emotional and undeniably powerful. 2025 marked a breakout year, touring with Max McNown across Australia, NZ and the U.S. and supporting Jackson Dean. He also completed a national headline tour, playing packed rooms in support of his single The Wheel. Austin has shared stages with Morgan Evans and Brad Cox, and performed at major festivals including Bluesfest, Gympie Music Muster and Savannah in the Round. With millions of streams and an invite to play CMA Fest 2025, he’s now gearing up for his debut U.S. headline run and a huge year ahead.
