Formed in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, Aye Candy is a three-piece band who take the best bits of their influences and mash them up to create a whole new sound: bits of blues, bits of country combined with rock n roll tales of Scotland and Australia. In late 2012, guitar playing singer songwriter Scott Wilson fled Scotland, on the run from rain and recession. Forces of fate conspired and the new Melbourne arrival bumped into drummer/multi-instrumentalist Clare Talei and bass playing visual artist Nick Pensa. The gang quickly bonded over the shared love of music, drinking and having a good time. Aye Candy was born. Aye Candy’s debut E.P. is due to be released online and on 12’’ vinyl this April.
