Artist Profile of “B.A.Ireland” Born 1968, South Australia. Lives in Northern Territory since 1994. First concert attended was ZZ Top & Rose Tattoo at Memorial drive. My 1st gig was 1992 on top of the bar at the Royal Admiral hotel in Hindley St, Adelaide. Love the blues, loves travelling and gigging solo & keeping a low profile. The string instrument used on these tracks is called a Lowebow (pictured above). Its 1/2 bass and 1/2 guitar without frets has 2 input so 2 amps arethe go.. There is only one way to play a Lowebow and the answer is in my songs. I got mine of the originator in Memphis in March 2013, even wrote a tune about the encounter later. I also play harmonica nearly as long as I’ve played guitar. Played big mobs of live gigs in NT, WA, SA and just a few sly ones overseas! Music Credits: Did a few comps over the time. Made it as semi-finalist back in 92’ M-Rock S.A, 96’WAMI’s, APRA writer member since 98’ and ASA Top 10 in 04’ for song about an aussie town/city. Mine
