b!and began in the long summer of 2017 when Jesse asked Tim if he wanted to start a band after losing his job and writing some songs to remind himself he was a human person. Tim introduced Christian, who also wrote songs because of feelings. Then, just in time for their first gig, Chris came along to lay the beat. Good times were had but then Scarlette came along and they were finally whole. b!and are your new favourite garage band. Straddling all sorts of lines between the epic and the exhausted, b!and’s pop driven, riff-laden, drone-heavy fuzz freak-outs combine with minimalist lyrics that twist along with the sonic sprawl to bring together an exhilarating and intoxicated interrogation of modern being.
