Bad Medicine is a highly ambitious rock outfit hatched from the minds of Queensland University of Technology and Griffith Conservatorium music students. Fresh off of winning the 2026 QUT Battle of the Bands, they are aiming to become Brisbane’s next big musical export. The five-piece plays an eclectic mix of rock, punk, funk and blues, driven by a powerful rhythm section, a frenetic lead guitarist and a multi-instrumentalist specialising in harmonica, mandolin and trumpet. Both guitarists trade off vocal duties, giving the band the flexibility to explore a wide range of influences and sounds. With five musicians at their disposal, Bad Medicine are capable of creating massive walls of sound designed to flatten any audience. With new music on the way, they are poised to pounce on Brisbane and beyond.
