Norm Truman and Justin Wolthers both met over a fish counter at a sumpermarket in Taree in 1997. Norm asked the enigmatic Justin what a fisho does in Taree for fun outside of the four walls of the store, to which Justin replied 'Music, and I have a small studio in my flat'. That afternoon, the friendship was made, although BAD MONKEY started after Justin left Taree and sporadic jaunts to each others houses lead to the birth of the duo in 2000.
