After years in the Manchester and London music scenes Andy arrived in Australia looking for a new musical direction. Lou, after working in the Australian and Japanese scenes was also looking to change her sound and focus. The pair came together after an unscheduled live performance by Lou at a Gold Coast Club in 2010. The short 2 min performance led to a 5 year pursuit by Andy to find a way they could work together. The result of the pursuit became Banks of the Beautiful. Blending heartfelt melodies and lyrics, with loops, beats, electronica and live instruments, the Banks of the Beautiful sound is unique. Sometimes making you dance, sometimes breaking your heart. “As long as each track provokes an emotional response of some kind, we’re happy” BOTB After months of writing and recording, the band are currently adding finishing touches to their debut album, releasing singles and videos as they go. They will then be looking for festival dates and support slots throughout
