We all get goosebumps every time we hear this song and we hope that the message is felt and heard! We are proud to present 'The Messengers'. This song was written and performed by the students of Banora High. The theme of the song was 'treaty' and all of our students are from Indigenous backgrounds. We explored the concept of real recognition and how that would look in modern society. We took inspiration from other treaties with Indigenous cultures from the world, in particular, the Treaty of Waitangi from NZ. The students really embraced the message within the 'Uluru Statement from the Heart' and we took some of this statement and put it into our song.
