Melbourne based Singer/Songwriter, Barry Michael is proud to announce the release of his new single called "Lazy Day" This is a song about NOTHING. Doing nothing, all day, with the ones you love. Put your feet up, pour a wine and have a listen. Over the years Barry has supported such diverse acts as Painters and Dockers, Died Pretty, Pseudo Echo and John Farnham. Previous albums have received rave reviews - Mark Demetrius (Rolling Stone Magazine) “Barry Michael’s two previous CD’s were good news, and his debut album “The First Time” Makes it a hat-trick. Michael doesn’t fit into any stylistic pigeonhole, He’s simply a superb singer-songwriter who can probably compose hook-lines in his sleep. Like Loudon Wainwright III, he proves he’s no dork precisely by writing about dorkishness, loneliness and inadequacy. His compositions give ample evidence of a major songwriter in the making. “Not Think Of You” is a slow painful blues worthy of Billie Holiday. That’s saying something”. Enjoy.
