Base6 Base6 is my production house... well, my sheds. I left the city to move to a quiet place in the country, get a 'real' job, start a family and set up a studio that I could just walk into and press record anytime I felt the urge. Now, 10 years later - tick. I use the Base6 studios for 'organica' projects (see 'the Flesh the Mind the Journey Inside' on Unearthed), bands & little orchestrally things (see 'STILLE' or 'the Ponds') and short film projects. It also doubles as a rehearsal space for a couple of choirs. Base6 is a haven for lost things (big-ups Shaun); pianos, a harpsichord, salvaged mics, cymbals, amps… and I just love it. Mates leave their chunky stuff here too, like phat-tape reel-to-reels, organs, mixing desks, records, decks, drum kits - anything they love but don't have room for. The walls of the Base6 studio are lined with 5000 VHS tapes ($500 on ebay from a closed shop in Melbn... 10 cents a video!). Every second or third video sticks out a few inches - great
