bastion /‘ˈbastɪən’/ noun 1. a place or system in which something continues to survive Emotionally drained by the setbacks of shifting line-ups, three Melbourne friends (Joe, Hamish, and JT) sought stability in two like-minded musicians (Ben and Mabel). Something clicked, and despite their differences, they came together to form a cohesive whole. Their debut single ‘Disarray’-produced, mixed and mastered by Andrei Eremin (Chet Faker, Fractures, Oscar Key Sung, Japanese Wallpaper)- is a manifestation of their competing loves: catchy indie rock and electronic-driven pop.

5 friends from Inverloch, Victoria. We like to skate, surf and make music - not necessarily in that order. Always down for some fun, we try our hardest to write music that we would enjoy listening to and lyrics that actually mean something. Currently between drummers, our friend Alex is filling in on vocals and Dan is taking care of the drumming duties, just so we can still play shows until a permanent solution is found. Check out our Bandpage on Facebook and grab our self-produced 2011 demos and 'Surfing The Storm' EP for free download. Why free? We enjoy making and playing our music and we only want to share it with you. We hope you enjoy it!
Producing for over 10 years. Lost the love a while ago, and I've rekindled my passion for creating electronic music again. Influences: Deadmau5, Morgan Page, Neelix, Tommy Trash, Rufus and more.
