The embryotic stage of Bazalgette spluttered into life in September 2002, when "thick as thieves" high school mates Tony Hirst and Rob Thomas stumbled upon the fact that they had both begun teaching themselves guitar nearly 10 years after finishing high school. With busy home and professional lives the boys would only occasionally snatch a beer together and with shared passions in rugby league, cricket, and current events there was always something to reminisce or rebuff. Music just never came up in conversation. For more then a decade this shared interest went completely unnoticed and unmentioned! When finally all was revealed, it signalled a 6 year roller coaster ride, culminating in Bazalgettes' Debut LP "SOUND FISH". Within weeks of their discovery the boys were getting together every Tuesday night and writing songs.
