Beaudesert began by writing songs around a fire in the badlands of North Ipswich. Using synthesisers, acoustic guitars and drum machines the band envision a world inspired by the neon lights found at the fringes of our cities. A mysterious and uncompromising place where the countryside disappears and is replaced by jagged highways and industrial landscape. They write songs about these fringes - the drug dealing ex lover, a wayward brother, addiction and of course, love. Beaudesert see themselves as purveyors of a hybrid genre - TRUCKER DISCO. A dark and energetic style of country music that is mystifying, yet oddly familiar.
