Belinda Brooks is an Australian singer-songwriter, producer, director and award-winning visual artist from the NSW South Coast whose work is grounded in storytelling, character and the complexity of human experience. Her creative career spans music, theatre, screen, visual art and community practice, alongside extensive work in end-of-life care, carer support and trauma-informed facilitation. As a songwriter, Belinda has co-written a growing catalogue of released works, including Dearie Me, Man’s Best Friend and Amarone, and has contributed creatively across recording, production, artist development and music-industry projects. Her broader arts career includes producing major regional musical-theatre productions, directing music-video work and developing creative projects across stage, screen and community settings. Her debut solo single, One Tree Plain, co-written with Anthony Snape and Bruce Mackay, is a tender Australian country story about a dying stockman and the person caring for him at the end of his life. Released on 9 October 2026 ahead of National Carers Week, the song brings together Belinda’s music, storytelling and years of work alongside carers, grief and end-of-life communities.
