When the new wave of Newcastle bands rose in 2015, Below Oceans took the opportunity to come together and express themselves musically. Bringing in various influences of Hardcore & Metalcore backgrounds, Below Oceans quickly found themselves as regulars at shows in Newcastle and Central Coast. Their quick rise saw their first E.P 'From Within the Broken' released in August 2016. Since the band has experienced 2 top 5 tracks in the Triple J Unearthed Metal charts, as well as opening for Australian Hardcore legends 'Buried in Verona' on their 'Last Leg Up' tour. With new music due in the next few months, Below Oceans are set to continue their rise up the Metalcore ranks as a potential force to be reckoned with.
