I have loved music since I was a kid dancing singing messing about mainly, making noise was probably the reason I started playing guitar. But as I grew through my early-mid teens I started song writing, mainly for fun, then a couple of people told me I was good, and then I started working at it - Honing my craft. Although it's still a little bit about making noise.
