Ben grew up playing drums in his family band ‘Hot Diggety’, with Sister Olivia-Jane and Father Steve. The band was a popular & successful country music touring act. All those touring miles, recording sessions, interviews, plus the countless gigs big & small, provided Ben with an excellent apprenticeship in the industry. Ben self produced his debut EP ‘The House Of Commons’. It’s a great recording, with a wonderful ‘Australian’ sound to it. His blend of unconventional songwriting, wonderful lyrics, unique “make your ears prick up & take notice” raspy vocal style (reminiscent of early Tom Waits), as well as his rebellious country roots, make for a distinctive new performer not to be missed.
