After years of working his way through local music scenes Ben Daddy Kan decided to let it go and follow a more nine to five approach to life with his young family. Still recording demos in his house, still occasionally making music with friends but just tired of the music industry. After an epic studio session together with Alex Markwell two years ago, recording his heart out and feeling deep down that this might be the last time in a studio for him the result was a bunch of songs that are both honest and purely driven by the motivation of having a good time. Those tracks were left on a hard drive somewhere in the corner of his house in Sydney until one day his daughter encouraged him to give it another shot. "City Lights (Bring Me Down)" is the dirty and gritty Tarantino version of a pop song Maroon 5 never made.
