Ben Fear is a multi-WAMi Award-winning rapper, producer, and instrumentalist from Perth, W.A. Having well-and-truly cut his teeth playing, recording, and touring with bombastic Australian hip hop powerhouse The Brow/Brow Horn Orchestra for seven years, Ben now has much shorter teeth. This new, solo project sees the rapper take a more definitively-hip hop approach, while incorporating elements of trip hop, jazz, classic rock, and world music, and bringing to these his trademark poetic style. His debut record - "Beast in Your Porridge" - features POW! Negro (of SUPEREGO), Sam Perry (winner of The Voice Australia), and rhythm section Josh Ellis and Josh Terlick (Alter Boy). Studio recording and production comes courtesy of producer Matt Gio (Rudimental, San Cisco). Singles "Fear" and "Lotus" have been played by Chuck D of Public Enemy on his N.Y.-based radio station, with their music videos played on MTV Australia and premiered by themusic.com.au, respectively.
