The musical partnership was born when guitar player and singer Ben Vernon discovered Robin Koetsveld languishing in a government-funded home for the mentally challenged, bass players and the otherwise developmentally disadvantaged. The pair struck up a rapport immediately and with Vernon on hand to wipe away Koetsveld's occasional gobbets of drool, he discovered his unlikely musical compadre had a talent for engineering and production as well as playing the bass. With Vernon covering the other instruments and Naomi King helping out on vocals, they have forged a powerful combo.
