A decade is a long time between gigs, and after saying goodbye to the Sydney hard rock scene in 2005, a lot has happened in the intervening years. After changing careers quite significantly at the end of 2013, I wanted a creative outlet to take the place of others I'd had before. What started as a tribute to quickly fading memories, soon became that outlet - writing new material from decades-old ideas and new, and ultimately re-imagining songs for what I'd always wanted them to be. Between Two Fires is that creative voice - a chance to offer up what was once in the past and have it burn new.
