History of Beyond Mortal Dreams Way back in the early 90s a couple of heathens set out to start writing extreme metal. Fueled by the love of the heavy metal and thrash era and the then thriving death metal scene, the two were joined by 3 others also seeking a similar thirst of musical style. Doomsayer and Hellaeon had met. The brotherhood of metal began. After a few name changes, the band settled on Suffering. The band played a heap of shows, notably always with interstate or international acts. Shows alongside Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Alchemist, Abramelin, Armoured Angel and Cruciform gave the band a lesson in how to do things. After a demo was released and then a name change to Beyond Mortal Dreams, tumultuous waves hit the band at full force with members ousted and new blood brought in. The band eventually put on hiatus. Hellaeon and Doomsayer then played in ONI, with the band enjoying Australia wide recognition in playing Melbourne (2x), Sydney (4x), Canberra and Queensland,
