Big Blind Ray is a blues singer, song writer and harmonica player. Together with The Good Time Rhythm n Blues Band, he pays homage to the sounds and grooves of rural and urban American bluesmen, performing with a fresh, raw energy and unique style. Having started out in the music scene as reviewer, interviewer and programmer on community radio in his late teens, Ray’s passion for music eventually found expression when he bought his first harmonica at 19 years of age. As a newcomer to the scene, Ray spent much time being taught and mentored by Sydney blues piano player, Bridie King. He continued his studies in music performance and theory at Ultimo Tafe. Since then some highlights have included performing with Simon Meli (Widowbirds), C.W. Stoneking, Sarah McCloud (Superjesus), Jeff Martin (Tea Party) and The Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra. Ray launched his debut L.P. “Big Blind Ray Trio” in September 2013, which debuted at #4 on The Australian Blues and Roots Airplay Chart,
