“Big Red Writing” (formally “Bard & Co”) is the brainchild of Kim Macrae, director of “iKiFit” and Wez Thompson, owner of Hot Tracks Recording. Kim has been writing and performing for the past 25 years, with about 10 years in family band Glasshouse playing weddings, parties, pubs and balls all over the Central and far west of NSW. Wez records local and regional artists at his studio in Dubbo, as well as currently working in 3 or 4 bands He also teaches music at TAFE and to private students. Wez and Kim have spent a huge number of hours in the studio over the past 11 years working on tracks for the iKiFit program. Some of the Big Red Writing playlist are songs that feature in iKi, but many are not. “These are songs that we’ve played thousands of times together in the studio and the shed, but very few people have heard”, says Kim and Wez “And we want to get them out there.
