BIG SHOT MANOEUVRE Originally formed in Melbourne 2005 from the back yard recordings of friends, Jean Phillippe Lopez and Tim Vagg. The boys then quickly adapted their vision to form the band Big Shot Manoeuvre, in response to strong feedback of their recordings and the rare opportunity to play at High Vibes Music Festival. Lopez and Vagg have formulated an idiosyncratic and unique songwriting partnership that produces some of the more startlingly original and unique songs to come out of Melbourne. One can hear certain flickers of genre influences such as surf guitar, psychedelic rock, new wave post punk, art rock and disco punk, but a Big Shot Manoeuvre sound has developed from the mixing of obscure ingredients in a rather large and sometimes strange musical soup.
