Waking from a long period of studio-induced hibernation, Sydney four-piece Big Smoky finally reveal the first fruits of their long-awaited debut album, with new single ‘All The Way To Scone’, a little slice of suburban ‘90s Australia. Mixed by Liam Judson (Belles Will Ring, Cloud Control) and entitled ‘Happy Hour’, the album was entirely self-recorded and produced by the band and follows several years spent cultivating their distinctive brand of “folkadelia” and the melodic musings of songwriting duo Dan Johnston and Dan Palm. ‘All The Way To Scone’ follows Big Smoky’s independently released EP ‘Belly Moan’, single ‘Yukio’ as well as notable support shows with seminal Australian artists Steve Kilbey and The Whitlams.
