Billy Howler is an Australian singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer and engineer. Born in Singapore, Billy was raised in his maternal home of Australia by his mother. At 21, after the loss of prominent pillars in his life, he taught himself guitar and writing as a primary mechanism to alchemise his grief. Driven to master both the art of performance and the physics of sound, Billy studied Audio Engineering and Sound Production at JMC Academy to ensure absolute capability on "both sides of the glass." He graduated at the top of his cohort with a 4.0 GPA equivalent. He quickly weaponized this technical mastery in the studio circuit, working as second engineer at Melbourne’s prestigious The Base Recording Studios, before stepping up as main engineer and producer at Easy Tape Studios. As an artist, his debut single “Keep My Fire Lit” served as a massive statement of intent, skyrocketing to #12 on PlayMPE’s top streams chart the week of its release.
