Bird first saw Din play on a stool, looking at his toes. Then and there a musical arrow shot through her shy but excitable drumming heart. They decided to play together at a party, but Bird didn't show up to the rehearsal and they threw themselves on stage with no practice. Picking themselves off the floor, they found a place to practice and play as slow as they liked. It was here that Birdene was born. Birdene has a unique sound that blends Din's dark baritone croon and unpolished guitar sound with Bird's kooky absent minded country shuffles on drums. The effect is a set of slow, moody and raw tunes that engage the bleak and beaten side of humanity: loss, heartbreak, despair and violence.
