At first we started off as a band with 3 main memebers; Milein - Drums, Jack - Guitar and Tyson - Guitar/Vocals. In late 2010 we decided to cut any influential ties with previous bands we all had been a part of an start fresh making ground writing new music for what was soon to be Blackwater. Chance and coincidence then soon found The Voaclist Fjalar behind us in the line of the Soilwork gig @ the Hi-Fi bar in Melbourne, we really hit it off and he became our lead man at the next rehearsal. We searched for a few months for a bass player only to find a young and very talented Angus who was eager to play bass for us. At only just 17 years of age at the time he completed the line up. It was at this point we realised the potential of our music and started the gig circuit of Melbourne local venues. As members of Blackwater, our ascension from the ashes of past musical projects including; 'Of Meloncoly Burning', 'Monera' and 'Deus Ex Machina' has not only influenced our music but of

Blackwater was formed in mid 2008 when a chance meeting between Bam and Trav led to the three friends reuniting. After a couple of rehearsals it was decided that material should be written to encompass the influences of the whole group. The resulting sound was a mix of modern hard rock, big metal riffs, melodic vocals and punchy, groove based rhythms.
