8 sees a new dawn for the Blinding Lights. The band originally being formed in 2006 after songwriter Michael Roberts (23) returned home from several enjoyable years playing and touring the East Coast of Australia cutting his teeth performing as a bass player with numerous different Sydney based acts. After several line-up changes Michael met the young and experienced drummer Kerrod Gorst (18) and they immediately started searching for the rest of the band. The Blinding Lights line-up was solidified with the coming of powerful bassist Pat Conwell (21) and the guitar genius of Stuart Reynolds (22). “The original idea behind the band was to find the ‘right kind’ of people and build a band and music that meant something to us all, that said something real coming from the heart and soul, which in turn could be communicated to a wide audience.
