Im Blizz the Blaze one half of the group Hydroponic Poets from the beautiful Sunny Coast of Australia. I started rhyming and becoming interested in hip hop in 2003 at the influential age of 13. Poetry is in my blood, my great grandfather Eugene Prosper McCarthy was a distinguished war poet who fought for our country as a light horseman with the Anzacs. So i found that rhyming words together was just something that came easily and is something i have always done. I grew up in Sydney's Northern Beaches until the age of 15, when i moved to the Sunshine Coast QLD. Growing up i came into contact with people who were in love with hip hop and its culture, their interests eventually wore off onto myself to the point that i have become 'addicted' to the sound, the culture and the knowledge behind Hip Hop. I was introduced first to rappers and Dj's like Grandmaster Flash, Biz Markie, NWA, Snoop Dogg, Run DMC, Afrika Bambaataa etc. Then my taste in hip hop and the rhymes become more matured
