BLKMPIRE is a community led movement that endeavours to DECOLONISE the way in which we create and share in Blak Song. If the music sector is built around the exploitation of art/artists, then BLKMPIRE is a revolutionary response to the colonial oppression where our Songlines are concerned - We will not be exploited further, we will not continue with an exploitative model - We are the creation of a new way that honours artists and their artistic practice, a movement that can not just see their true value, but also understands how to activate it where our Country and Community are concerned. Blak Song has the ability to heal Our Nation, but it needs to be nurtured and nourished properly, in order for it to thrive and uphold its legacy of 60 thou plus.
