From the suburbias of South West Sydney, Blue Deem formed sharing a love for the depth of emotions and bringing them to life. The five young men have a simple vision of creating a post-punk sound with jazz influences both live and in the studio. Using their vantage point of being in a transitional period between adolescence and adulthood, Blue Deem explore the coming-of-age journey, drawing on personal experiences. Poignant lyrics and unorthodox rhythms drive the band into the underground Sydney music scene alongside acts such as Shady Nasty.
