Inspired by solid heavy riff-rock grooves and punk jams, their unique sound also draws on blues, psychedelic and art/noise rock influences. Blue Ryder are a mix of howling guitars, crooning vocals and heart thumping rhythms. If you love breaking noises and you’re no stranger to being chased through the night then Blue Ryder is for you. It’s lean mean punk rock served up like it should be – loud and with abandon. The group were formed in January 2012 by Mike, Nic and Kristian Whitehead together with Lee Power. A smoking PA, ringing ears and a whole lot of excitement were the result. Joseph Treasure (of Dead Beat Band) joined in June adding a second guitar to complete the lineup. Blue Ryder have played with: Flume, The Drunk Mums, The Belligerents, Jimmy the Saint & the Sinners, The Ottomans, Pirates Alive, Young Meadows .
