Blue Pharaoh Music (Steven Tagliaferro Bio) October 2013 Being a child of the sixties I have been exposed to so much good music that if I think about it my head hurts. The three great joys in my life are my sons, Aaron and Curtis, music and travelling. Started to play the piano at age 15, I didn’t even have a piano but I would go each Saturday to my friend’s house and practice for hours on end, totally lost in the music. Then my dad bought me my piano a Wilhelm Hedke, Lightenberg Berlin. Dad and I found it in someone’s garage collecting dust and stacked all around was garbage and disused items. I write all my music on this piano. Becoming impatient with learning music pieces I began to write my own. Sometimes even rewriting what I thought a song would be like if I had written it. It’s pretty cheeky but that’s how I felt. It’s nearly always the music that moves me. Lyrics have to fit perfectly to a piece for me to notice. I have been writing ever since.
