The coming together of a truly great original blues outfit is not something that happens overnight. It's about working towards a sound that only years of experience and maturity can provide. Given that, I think you'll understand why Blues X Press has been a long time coming. With the support from Australian Blues Society, Blues X Press is embarking on an all out assault of the Australian blues scene. These premier members have been drawn together through their love of the blues. And there's no doubt BLUES X PRESS has got to be one of the most deserving of all original bands to be compiled in Australia. The list of members reads like a who's-who of the local blues scene. The band is headed by Lead Throat and Lead Guitarist Matt, who throws down a wonderful, belly roar of vocals that set the band apart. With support from Mark 'Bones' on Hootin' Harmonica, Vocals, Percussion, Justin on Guitar, Piano, Percussion, Geoff on Bass, Darryl on Drums and Vocals, this band is something to behold.
