From playing snowy shows in the French Alps to opening for The Cat Empire along tropical shores, Cairns singer-songwriter Bobby Maguire shares his clever brand of rock evocative of fellow Australian artists Grinspoon, Thirsty Merc and Bernard Fanning. As a teenager, chest surgeries at the Royal Children’s Hospital put a stop to Maguire’s motorbike passion, giving him a chance to pickup the guitar. Soon, he was performing to crowds of thousands at festivals with a music video featured twice on Channel Ten by age sixteen. Maguire then completed a Bachelor Degree of Music in Melbourne before returning home to the Far North to record his single ‘Breathe’ while also composing and performing music for a sold-out theatre production. Maguire then left rural Queensland for Melbourne to study a Bachelor Degree of Music while performing in many bands before graduating and returning home to release his single "Breathe" and compose music for a live theater production.
