Body Horrors are a five-piece femme synth-punk outfit based in Perth, Western Australia. Forming in early 2021, the band have been riding the live music scene wave, playing an abundance of regular shows at local venues such as The Bird, Lucy’s Love Shack, The Aardvark, Lynott’s Lounge, Milk Bar and Amplifier. In their formative first year as Body Horrors, the band have been heavily influenced by the likes of L7, Amyl and the Sniffers, Sonic Youth and Petrol Girls. Fast, loud and passionate, Body Horrors use music as a platform to communicate important messages about social and political issues that fuel an anger within them, delivering a high energy performance on stage. To close 2021 with a bang, Body Horrors are set to release their debut single Hate Crimes (at Paramount) on November 11. 2022 is setting out to be a big year ahead for Body Horrors, as they hope to release an EP by the end of the year.
