Brasse Vannie Kaap (BVK) is a pioneering South African hip-hop group that emerged from the Cape Flats in 1996, at a time when the local music scene was embracing alternative and progressive sounds. The group, whose name translates to "Brothers from the Cape," was instrumental in commercializing Afrikaans hip-hop.
