Brentish started out as a two piece acoustic duo who entered the local Launceston comps. where they won first place in the high school section. Two weeks later we were joined by another three band members and entered our school battle of the bands where we placed first. We then proceeded to the Tas music rock challenge where we placed in the top two bands in the north of the state which placed us in the finals. Over the time Brentish have played a number of other gigs for e.g. Countdown 09 and the Hands across the water Victorian bushfire victims appeal concert. Recently Brentish collected 2nd place for best cover and 3rd for best original in the Launnie comps. they were the only band to get two placings in the college heat out of 24 bands.
