Brian El Dorado is a Melbourne artist releasing the first single from his fifth studio album, Open, this July. Recorded in LA with legendary producer Andy Baldwin (Morcheeba, Paul Kelly, The Cat Empire), the result is a rich sonic pallet that gives space while maintaining the raw emotional core of the album. El Dorado says, “It’s the most synergistic and collaborative connection I have had working on my music in the recording studio”. El Dorado’s musical taste are diverse as evident in his 4 previous albums with his band, The Tuesday People. Spanning everything from funk, blues and hip hop, this album is another new direction for the songwriter. “I feel like songs almost write themselves, I can never force a song out in a particular style, it’s like they visit your conscious mind briefly and if you are attuned to that then you write it down or record the idea”.
