Buffy Prescott is a new unique voice in Australian Hip Hop. The outfit's MC, Sean, has successfully merged a love of late 80s/early 90s rap with the attitude/template of 80s punk (short and to-the-point). Although several tracks on 'ImMature' follow the traditional song structure, the album is more a continuation/sequel to the group's debut 'PreMature' with most songs telling a story in under two minutes (the punk aesthetic). The most important part of this equation is the unique production of Flames and G-Ro; both are multi-instrumentalists who source their roots in metal/punk/groove/electro to construct the right vibe to vehicle the lyrics/story being told. Each track sits perfectly with the next, yet no two tracks are quite the same. The combination is definitely presenting the musical landscape with a new take on rap.
