Bugthorn is a conceptual electronic project developed by Melbourne-based producer Thomas Gaudry. Inspired by fantasy worlds, augmented reality and rave culture, Bugthorn’s transcendent tracks are futuristic yet nostalgic. Bugthorn fuses ethereal sounds, breakbeats and heavy drum programming to form his sonic vision. Bugthorn had a momentous start to 2019, racking up live show support at The Tote Hotel, along with a performance at the prestigious Art Centre Melbourne. Bugthorn received a Shortlisted Finalist Award in the 2019 Unisounds Competition - Electronic Music Producer Category. With one foot in the underground electronic scene and the other in clubs/live performance, Bugthorn is labelled ‘one to watch’ going into 2020.
