Calm Maelstrom loves music. His goal is to merge the sounds of 808s, 909s, Digital Breakbeats, and synth patches to create sonic scenes. Calm’s inspiration comes from his childhood of listening to old soul and funk records with his mother. He was further influenced to create cinematic soundscapes while growing up watching Blaxploitation films with his father. No genre is off limits.
