Can Okan grew up in housing commissions of Sydney, Australia. Despite his up bringing, Can rebels against the notion that he must make "gutter music" with a bold mission statement of delivering albums that can rival a ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ by Kendrick Lamar or a ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’ by Kanye West and ultimately pushing Aussie Hip Hop past its stereotypes.
