"Growing up beachside, i saw a lot of small town things. I sang habitually through a fathers influence,and danced around with my mother in drunkeness." Candice picked up a guitar and learnt the basics.. She busked in byron bay town often surrounded by her competition; a homeless populace of alcoholics who "taught me the rhythm and blues scale". She sat centre stage, alone, in late night bars with only her guitar and voicebox... Candice always got a warm response, but it wasnt applause she was always after. just a place to perform. Candice moved in with an audio engineer and he like the random bursts of song and so he stuck a mic in front of her and the result was the personal ''Take Off My Clothes" . She says the song is basic and an entree for the rest of her repotoire. "And it makes me blush" It is one of many thirsty songs written by Candice who is currently still in studio sessions. She is a big fan of The Gossip, Martha Wainwright, Chan Marshall, womack and womack. Stay in
